Director, Marketing Finance and Analytics

The Director, Marketing Finance and Analytics (Homes) will report to Homes CFO and will oversee analytics for the entire Growth Marketing finance function, ensuring strong insight and decision support for all channels, both digital (SEM, SEO, Email, Display, Push Notifications, Affiliates, App, etc) and offline (TV, Radio, OOH, Print). The ideal candidate possesses outstanding business acumen, excellent communication skills, top notch analytical skills specifically from a marketing measurement perspective, and excellent leadership abilities.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead a group of strategic financial analysts and people managers to provide a high level, strategic partnership for our performance marketing organizations
  • Guide business strategy and drive outcomes by developing deep understanding of performance marketing driven growth and efficiency for our business, partnering with the leadership team to translate insights into action
  • Define metrics and manage performance by identifying those that align with company growth drivers; set team goals and track progress 
  • Provide the investor mindset: Create the business and investment cases for new growth initiatives and help leadership prioritize resourcing. Consider the range of outcomes that an initiative may have on the company and how to push for upside
  • Help marketing channel owners optimize return on their effort and spending through analysis, controlled experiments and pre-post analyses
  • Forecast monthly business KPIs by channel and region based on historical Host data and understanding of performance marketing activities
  • Partner with brand marketing and brand analytics teams to understand the impact of marketing activities on our business
  • Leverage data to scale our ability to optimize marketing through the entire customer lifecycle
  • Global outlook and mindset: ability to think globally and understand different nuances of each market

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • 12+ years of experience with increasing responsibility leading the strategic finance team partnering with the performance marketing function
  • 5+ years people management experience
  • Proactive and creative problem solver with tremendous intellectual horsepower
  • Exceptional ability to effectively collaborate with and influence business partners 
  • Strong communication skills to all levels of the organization
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to present to executive staff and board members
