Compensation Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Compensation Analyst to help us build high-performance teams, craft and foster compensation best practices, and optimize and evolve our compensation programs as we grow. You’ll drive Affirm business priorities, operational goals, values, and culture by supporting Affirm’s compensation programs, including base salary compensation, short and long-term incentive plans (including Revenue incentive programs and equity), and recognition programs. 

What you'll do

  • You'll support our compensation programs, including: semi-annual compensation cycle planning and review cycles, annual / ad-hoc compensation benchmarking, and program design
  • Partner with compensation team members on the annual compensation benchmarking and market research process; evaluate and perform analysis on global base pay market positioning and salary structures to ensure market competitiveness in support of overall compensation strategy
  • Handle the global compensation survey submittal and receipt process
  • You'll be responsible for approving or escalating compensation offers, work with recruiters to provide them with offers that are great for candidates, the business, and Affirm
  • Conduct market research analyses to understand best practices, market trend deep dives, decline analysis and offer negotiations
  • You are able to explain compensation calculations to business leaders and prepare them for conversations with Affirmers
  • You'll collaborate with cross functional teams and key partners to develop seamless processes, guidelines and policies related to compensation operations
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of compensation tools and systems
  • Project manage and process design, data analysis, and create dynamic dashboards
  • You'll partner closely with Director, People Operations, to whom this position reports

What we look for

  • 2-3 years of experience spent “in-house” in a corporate environment
  • You have a strong command of compensation fundamentals (job matching, market pricing, equity mechanics, and program design)
  • An ability to thrive working in dynamic environments with quickly changing business needs
  • Expert analytical skills (advanced Excel skills at minimum), data visualization, planning, process efficiency, organization, critical thinking, and delegation
  • Strong business insight and judgement, team orientation, and collaborative style
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maturely handle sensitive and confidential information
