Responsibilities

The Engineering Application Department is seeking a passionate API Engineer to join our growing team of creative software engineers. As an API Engineer, you will develop and enable mission critical systems to move information technologies from traditional server based architectures to data centric architectures.

This position can be filled an API Engineer or Sr. API Engineer.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications for API Engineer
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, or related a technical field
• 2 or more years of professional experience in software engineering
• Strong programming skills in Java and/or C++
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript or Python
• Proficient in developing APIs
• Experience in Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Automated Testing
• Ability to self-manage, show leadership, and communicate well
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, issued by the US government. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance

Required Qualifications for Sr. API Engineer
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, or related a technical field
• 5 or more years of professional experience in software engineering
• Strong programming skills in Java and/or C++
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript and/or Python
• Experienced and skilled in developing APIs
• Experience in Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Automated Testing
• Ability to self-manage, show leadership, and communicate well
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, issued by the US government. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance

Preferred
• Undergraduate G.P.A of 3.5 or above
• Experience in Microservice architecture
• Knowledge of Cameo, Rhapsody, or Genesis tools
• Experience with agile software development practices
• Active security clearance
