Responsibilities

Personnel will represent the JSC EVA Office in various forums and across multiple programs. Support can include serving as the EVA Increment Manager for ISS Increments, EVAs and vehicles, ensuring required EVA requirements are accounted for, activities are planned, and impacts are accounted for. Includes key support to Increment Management Team (IMT), Operations Tagups, and ISS Mission Management Team (IMMT). Support may also include representing the EVA office at various Gateway and Lunar Program forums, and integrating EVA requirements and operations into the new Exploration programs and vendors.

Key Functions
  • Management of Increment EVAs as assigned, ensuring completion of cross-organizational coordination with all required products and analyses are in place for the EVA.
  • Review and approval of documents that pertaining to ISS flights and increments, as well as Gateway, Lunar and other exploration programs.
  • EVA ISS and Exploration Program Meetings Coordination
  • Certification of Flight Readiness and Certification of EVA Readiness (CoFR/CoER) Endorsements Preparation and Presentation
  • Logistics Plans Coordination
  • ISS Management Center (IMC) Console Support
  • International Partner Integration and Coordination
  • ISS Payload Integration
  • Leading EVA integration with multiple Human Lander Systems (HLS) vendors
  • Representing the EVA Office at multiple ISS and Exploration forum
  • Both domestic and foreign travel is expected.


Qualifications

Required
  • In-depth knowledge of current EVA tool technology
  • In-depth knowledge with the current EMU technology
  • An understanding of NASA program life cycle and system engineering processes
  • Ability to effectively utilize oral and written communication to express technical concepts and recommendations to personnel at all technical and managerial levels
  • Ability to work effectively and quickly in real-time environments of rapid-change, conflicting requirements, and occasional pressure


Preferred
  • Experience performing or leading technical and programmatic tasks for NASA, understanding NASA's expectations, and briefing results to NASA is highly desired
