Responsibilities

Supporting the development of space-based communication systems operating at frequencies from "DC" to "Daylight", we solve the problems that others can't. Our hardware solutions are based on your work. We are looking for a talented technician who enjoys hands-on operations and desires a challenging environment where you both actively contribute to varied laboratory projects and acquire new fabrication, measurement, and test capabilities. We highly value technology and "getting the job done".

Key Functions
• Board layout, assembly, and testing of high-speed digital electronic circuits
• Board layout, assembly, and testing of microwave and millimeter-wave circuits including mechanical fixturing and circuit integration
• Drawing of plans and fixture fabrication using machine tools of custom and one-off mechanical fixtures in support of circuit and antenna measurements
• Fabrication of microwave cable and digital harness
• Collaboration with engineers on laboratory activities including operation of test equipment and data acquisition
• Participate as a team member to support engineer-directed activities
• Maintenance of laboratory equipment and general laboratory cleanliness and safety
• Ability to work on multiple projects in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
• Ability to interact and work with a diverse set of engineers and technician colleagues.
• Willing to learn, ask questions, suggest solutions, take ownership of issues

Qualifications

Electronics Technology Specialist II Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited university and 3 or more years of relevant experience in a related discipline
• High motivation with proficiency to learn and carry out tasks with guidance/leadership of experienced staff
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with computers and programs such as Excel and PowerPoint
• This position requires eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a clearance

• Experience with the measurements using electrical laboratory equipment (meters, signal sources, oscilloscopes, network and spectrum analyzers)
• Experience with RF/analog/digital layout principles, PCB assembly, and industry-standard PCB layout tools such as PADS,
• Experience with microwave circuit layout principles and assembly techniques
• Experience with general machine tools (drill press, band saw, grinder)

Electronics Technology Specialist III Qualifications

Associate's degree from an accredited university and 3 or more years of relevant experience in a related discipline
• High motivation with proficiency to learn and carry out tasks with guidance/leadership of experienced staff
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with computers and programs such as Excel and PowerPoint
• This position requires eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a clearance

• Significant experience with the measurements using advanced electrical laboratory equipment, such as network and spectrum analyzers
• Familiarity with operating computer programs for automated data acquisition
• Significant experience with RF/analog/digital layout principles, PCB assembly, and industry-standard PCB layout tools such as PADS,
• Significant experience with microwave circuit layout principles, circuit assembly including packaged component attachment (e.g. QFN and or MIMIC die attach), and general microwave concepts such as S-parameters
• Experience with advanced machine tools, such as mills and lathes

Preferred
• Experience with LPKF circuit board milling machines is a plus
• Experience with LabVIEW or MATLAB is a plus
• Experience with TWTs or high-voltage circuitry is a plus
