A trusted partner. A national resource. A leader in national security space. We are THE Aerospace Corporation. A team that takes pride in our readiness to solve some of the most complex technical challenges in existence. With challenges spanning clandestine to commercial, you'll have the unique opportunity to work on projects that are literally evolving our nation's space and launch capabilities. We all share a common passion and aspiration - to serve a mission much bigger than ourselves. When you join our team, you'll be part of a rare collection of thought leaders and game-changing innovators. Are you ready to launch your career?

Responsibilities

The Career Development Manager will be responsible for assessing the career development needs of our people and creating impactful solutions. We have a bright, highly educated work force that thrives on learning and growing. This role will lead everything from designing career paths, building individual development plans, and offering short-term and long-term programs that enable our people to achieve their fullest potential and career aspirations. Whether a technical SME or a functional expert, we want our employees at Aerospace to have room to grow and be challenged.

We are looking for someone with a passion for developing people along with a creativity to explore new modalities for developing careers at Aerospace. We are interested in leveraging the best of our current (in-person) program and scaling across the organization to be available more broadly. Ideas such as podcasts, Senior leader panel sessions, mentoring programs, and open houses are a few of the ways the Career Development Manager will offer learning opportunities. Rotational programs, fellowships, career tracks, and other unique ways to enable our workforce to get the optimal depth and breadth of experience will also be part of this role. Of course, we also need to put programs in place to meet future organizational needs, so we're looking for someone who can evaluate what's happening on the outside, understand our business strategy, and translate this into an over-arching career development strategy.

Our Career Development Manager will work closely with our Strategic People Partners (often referred to as HR Business Partners) and leaders to identify the knowledge, skills and experiences that will inform and guide our people in their career development efforts, whatever they may be. Some of the people and organizational strategies, processes and tools that will be designed and deployed by this Center of Expertise will be company-wide in order to drive consistency and efficiency, while others will be more unique to meet a specific business or organization need.
