Position Summary:
The Advanced Sales Analytics group serves as ADT's leading analytical authority on optimizing our Sales vertical. We analyze data regarding newly acquired customers, translating data into high-value actionable insights for senior leadership and business partners, developing and refining new analyses in response to current business needs, and bringing expertise on emerging trends in data analytics and predictive modeling with a focus on supporting the Sales organization make smart data driven decisions.
This Sr. Analyst will support the operating business units and other key members of the Sales Analytics team. He/she will be charged with uncovering customer insights and innovative growth opportunities. This role involves extracting and analyzing data across all business functions, identifying hidden trends and opportunities for improvement across the entire sales funnel. The ideal candidate will have a deep working knowledge of various analytical and statistical tools for evaluating trends and measuring performance against qualitative and quantitative objectives.
Key Responsibilities include:
  • Extract, join and clean data from various different platforms
  • Understand messy, unorganized data and transform it into clean organized data
  • Analyze ADT lead level and customer data to identify trends, patterns and insights
  • Utilize correlations, cross-tabs, regression and other statistical analyses to identify sales insights and drivers affecting customer acquisition, engagement, satisfaction, and productivity
  • Work with business to identify opportunities where analytics can add value to the business
  • Evaluate existing processes and insert smart decisioning methodology to maximize performance
  • Utilize advance analytical tools, including statistical modeling to get the right answer
  • Interpret and translate analytical findings into coherent business strategy
  • Work closely with the business to understand their pain points and build thoughtful strategies
  • Measure performance of the implemented strategies and evaluate true incrementality
  • Learn new analytical tools that speed up the process to get the right answer faster
  • Develop executive-level presentations to illustrate key data insights
  • Present key findings to business leaders and drive consensus building
  • Provide recurring weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to sales organization
  • Partner with Marketing, Care, Finance and Operations team to drive enterprise level projects
  • Design and conduct A/B testing with different innovative strategies to maximize learning
  • Work with sales leaders to design pilots, measure results and refine iteratively
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis based on current business priorities to help key sales decision
  • Educate the leaders and partners about innovative framing and pros-n-cons of a specific move
  • Coach, train and mentor junior analysts. Be a stakeholder in the development of junior talent.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Education: Undergraduate degree required, graduate degree strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of related experience in an analytical role, 5+ years preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in data analytics, mathematics, statistics, or engineering
  • Prior background as a strategy consultant, business analyst or data scientist strongly preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills that focuses on effective persuasion
  • Natural comfort with numbers and a strong quantitative mindset
  • Ability to connect the dots and understand the second/third order effects
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office - advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools
  • High proficiency with SQL, Python and R programming languages
  • Comfort with querying, joining and manipulating large data sets
  • Experience working within a big data environment strongly preferred
  • Outstanding analytical skills; comfortable working with, interpreting and presenting data
  • Be able to see the big picture, make thoughtful tradeoffs and focus on what matters
  • Consult and educate others on how to utilize analytics in business processes
  • Be able to use data to weave a strong narrative and tell a compelling story
  • Understand the difference between opinion, hearsay, anecdote and fact
  • Effectively break down complex data & analysis for non-technical audience
  • Develop A/B tests and Pilot test plans that prove/disprove a hypothesis
  • Use data and analytics to drive organizational change in a controlled and systemic fashion
  • Act as a force-multiplier within the organization by supporting other analysts
  • High degree of resiliency, ability to find plan B, C and D when plan A doesn't work
  • Bias for action, a sense of urgency and willingness to dive into the data
  • Be unemotional about your work with the ability to pivot quickly based on business need
  • High natural curiosity and the itch to get to the bottom of the problem
  • High level of customer focus, empathy for others and patience with unorganized data
  • Coachable, strong desire to learn, and enthusiasm for continuous improvement
  • Extreme ownership and the desire to see a project to the very end
