Position Summary:
The A/B Testing andOptimization Manager is committed to improving the site visitor experience aswell as improve overall website conversion rate through A/B & Multivariatetesting across multiple websites, at each level of visitor interaction. They will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a testingroadmap that will result in a better overall online visitor experience whiledriving performance improvements for site visitors. This position isresponsible for continuously analyzing online visitors' behavior and siteperformance and then partner with business leads, creative, and IT to developand execute effective and measurable tests. Essentially the Web Analytics& Optimization Manager will support multiple teams across the departmentwith test idea generation, design, development, and analysis.


PrimaryResponsibilities:

  • Develop and manage web-site testing strategy and online optimization roadmap of tests; continually test headlines, copy, value propositions, and calls to action to improve conversions
  • Develop test plans, define success metrics, analyze and transform raw data into actionable insights, and distribute test results to stakeholder
  • Configure and use website analytics and testing platforms to measure performance of experiments
  • Analyze web-site behavior and performance metrics to support user experience optimization efforts
  • Leverage site and audience data to draw insights, develop hypotheses and proactively recommend testing opportunities
  • Document outcomes, report progress and communicate results and recommendations to larger team and key stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Design and deliver polished, in-depth analysis and reporting that provides actionable recommendations in line with business goals
  • Manage multiple and concurrent test projects, keep them on schedule and within scope
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on design of experiments including test structure, sequencing, definition of primary and secondary success metrics, and experiment duration calculation
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analyses as needed
Overview of routineTasks (not exhaustive list):
  • Propose, manage and execute A/B tests and personalization strategies
  • Daily diagnostics on currently running tests to ensure data integrity
  • Present and explain test proposals to stake holders for launch approval
  • Present results from completed tests and implement outcome on production site
  • Daily forensic analysis on possible issues that arise in data reports to quickly identify operational or performance issues and relay to stakeholders

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, finance, mathematics, or in a quantitative discipline
Experience:
  • 5 years of experience in online testing & web analytics. Experience working with large datasets, writing queries, structuring reports
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing techniques and best practices
  • Hands-on experience with experimentation tools such as Google Optimize 360 (preferred), Adobe Target, Optimizely or Maxymiser
  • Hands-on experience with web analytics tools like Google Analytics 360 (preferred), Adobe Analytics or IBM Digital Analytics; Includes tagging requirements, reporting and analysis
Skills:
  • Excellent analytical skills - ability to understand and interpret data within the context of the AB / Multivariate testing
  • Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate complex test results findings and recommendations persuasively, in a compelling and easy to understand manner
  • Flexible and responsive, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, reprioritize as needed and work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams; independently and proactively
  • Must be results oriented and able to execute plans and implement initiatives with sense of urgency
  • Extreme curiosity about how features and the user experience can be improved and a high degree of innovation in looking for new alternatives to be tested
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task, work independently, and learn technical information quickly
