Entry level DevOps Engineer


Addteq is looking for an Entry Level DevOps consultant to join our team. Candidate should have knowledge of Build and Release Automation (primarily Java based applications) ,Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery DevOps

What You'll Do

As a part of our team you will work on migrating applications from a traditional stack of tools to a modern CI & CD based setup. You will also be involved in user support and training of the tools and technologies including documentation

What We're Looking For

  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix internals and architecture. Must be comfortable working on the command line
  • Experienced with Bamboo, Jenkins or TeamCity configuration for Continuous Integration setup of Java based projects
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of command line Git. (Including: Bitbucket/Stash or Github or Gitlab)
  • Hands on user experience with using JIRA for issue tracking and project management
  • Experience working with Nexus or Artifactory for binary artifacts and dependency management. Knowledgeable on integrating these tools with the build and deployment process
  • Comfortable with creating and debugging Ant and Maven for Java builds. Should be familiar with migrating Ant based projects to Maven and integrating with Nexus/Artifactory

  • Prior experience migrating legacy projects from Ant to Maven/Gradle
  • Public profile on Github or Bitbucket and contribution towards open source projects a plus
  • Familiarity with SOAP/REST API's, Microservices and SOA(Service Oriented Architecture)
  • Experience with these technologies: Docker, Puppet/Chef/Ansible/Salt, Vagrant/Consul/Terraform
  • Comfortable with scripting(Shell, Python, Ruby, Nodejs) etc
