Our client, one of the leading software companies in the Reston, VA area, is seeking a staff accountant for a contract to hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a BS in Accounting, with 1+ years' previous experience in a general ledger accounting role, specifically working with accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Primary Responsibilities:

Full Cycle AP processing, including reconciliation and journal entries
Assist with the monthly billing
Month-end and year-end close
Fixed asset entry and reporting
Cash applications
Work closely with other members of the accounting team

Qualifications:

BS in Accounting/Finance or other related discipline
1+ years' previous experience in general ledger accounting
Intermediate to advanced Excel
Oracle experience would be a plus
Ability to work in a team environment
