Our client, a growing government contractor located in the Dulles corridor, is seeking a staff accountant on a contract to hire basis. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or other related business degree), with 1+year's of GL experience, to include journal entries, month-end close, reconciliation and analysis.
Primary Responsibilities:
- GL responsibility, to include month-end close, journal entries, reconciliation
- AP focused duties
- Review and assist with monthly invoicing (T&M, FFP, and Cost Reimbursable contracts)
- Develop cost estimates
- Track and manage contract modifications and funding lines to coincide with budgets

Qualifications:
- BS in Accounting or Finance (or other related business degree)
- Previous GL experience with Costpoint
- Understand contract related supporting data
- Excellent communication skills
- Intermediate Excel
