Payroll Supervisor

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll for all US locations
  • Manage two direct payroll administrators in the Chicago office, including thirteen indirect reports in offsite locations
  • Monitor and verify payroll processes are in accordance with current payroll, labor and employment laws
  • Provide all required ad hoc reports including accounting-or HR-related reports and calculations
  • Collaborate with HR to streamline time management and administration and maintain HRIS data integrity
  • Respond to inquiries from employees related to payroll issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Manage and balance all quarter and year-end processes and work with the third party vendor to resolve anomalies
  • Balance and process third party billing on a monthly basis

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required in HR, Business, Accounting or related field
  • 7+ years of experience using automated payroll systems/HRIS, 3+ years managing people/ projects
  • Advanced in MS Office programs, including Word and Excel
  • Extensive knowledge of Oracle or Kronos
  • Experience with ADP Added Value Services is recommended
  • Extensive knowledge of labor legislations, collective agreements, pensions and other payroll-related regulations by federal, state and local governments
  • Ability to manage and meet strict deadlines and projects independently
  • Ability to work with different departments and teams outside the organization
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and general ledger procedures and principles is very helpful
