Your experience working with routers, switches, and routing protocols will help you be successful in this role, certifications are a plus but not needed.   • Evaluates, tests, recommends, and implements specific network solutions.
  • TCP/IP, OSI model and imp subnetting, experience
  • LAN/WAN experience
  • Understanding of routing and switching protocols as they relate to load balancing
  • Understanding of application layer protocols including HTTP, SSH, SSL, and DNS
  • Experience with Cisco Router and Switches
  • Cisco certifications are a plus
