Executive Assistant to the President & CEO

We are searching for a proactive and assertive assistant to the CEO and President of an international affairs association in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, have a go-getter attitude, and a strong passion for international affairs.

Job Description:

  • Organize travel schedules
  • Coordinate management events
  • Manage CEO's schedule
  • Manage and prioritize projects
  • Email ownership, expenses, and timesheets
  • Work with Office of External Relations
  • Serve as CEO liaison for internal and external offices
  • Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence
  • Manage materials for briefings and public appearance
  • Maintain filing system and contacts database

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in international relations, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently, and with a team
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience handling a complex calendar
  • Professionalism with senior government leaders
  • Interest, background, or experience in international affairs and policy preferred
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Bi-lingual is a plus
