Our client, a well-known nonprofit association in the DC metro area, is looking for a successful and enthusiastic Event Coordinator to assist in events from conception through to completion for a 3-6 month long contract. Some of the responsibilities include providing outstanding customer service and organizing events that meet quality expectations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- The Event Coordinator will be assisting in event planning, design and production while managing all project delivery elements within time limits
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify their needs and to ensure customer satisfaction
- The Event Coordinator will conduct market research, gather information and negotiate contracts prior to closing any deals
- Provide feedback and periodic reports to stakeholders
- The Event Coordinator will propose ideas to improve provided services and event quality
- Organize facilities and manage all event's details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material etc
- The Event Coordinator will cooperate with marketing and PR to promote and publicize event
- Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on the event day
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in a related role, recent college grads are welcome to apply as well
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Sales skills and ability to build productive business relationships
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- MS Office proficiency
- BS in Event Management / Marketing or related field
