Entry Level Finance and Accounting

Job Duties:

  • Ensures accounts payable are paid in timely manner
  • Performs all periodic bank reconciliations;
  • Maintains the chart of accounts
  • Issues timely and complete financial statements
  • Assists in the preparation of the holding company annual report
  • Assists in the management of holding company and investor transactions
  • Assists in the Asset Liability Management Process
  • Provides financial analyses as needed
  • Assists in gathering of information to external auditors for the annual audit
  • Complies with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

Required Skills and Experience:
  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
  • 0-2 years of office/accounting experience
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Data entry and word processing skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills & a team player
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask and stay organized
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers
  • Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
