Data Entry Clerk
We have multiple contract Data Entry Clerk opportunities. This position is for someone who is a quick learner, organized, and detail-oriented. The Data Entry Clerk must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Data Entry Clerk Responsibilities:
- Will prepare and sort documents / data sheets for the purpose of data entry
- Will establish entry priorities by maintaining an understanding of what data needs to be entered first
- Enters customer or employee data into prescribed database software
- Checks to make sure that accurate data has been entered into the database
- Will follow data program techniques and procedures to maintain data entry requirements
- Verifies entered data by reviewing, correcting, changing, or deleting entered information
- Secures entered information by creating data backups on a periodic basis
- Will confer with supervisor regarding incomplete information
- Will delete unnecessary files that may be bogging down the database
- Will check completed work for accuracy and make any required changes, immediately
- Performs document scanning work and link all scams with appropriate entries
- Creates and maintains logbooks of entered and changed data
- Will respond to information access and retrieval requests from authorized members
- Will check source documents against entered data, to ensure data integrity at every stage
- Assists in developing and maintaining improved records within the database system
- Will produce automated data entry and integration reports, when requested
- Will generate statistical reports based on maintained data, on a periodic basis
- Tests new database systems by performing mock data entry tasks
Data Entry Clerk Requirements:
- It is preferred for Data Entry Clerk candidates to have a Bachelor's Degree
- Must have Excel Pivot table experience
- Qualified Data Entry Clerks must be able to type 50-plus wpm
- Must have strong computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Qualified Data Entry Clerks must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to multitask, prioritize, and follow-through with assignments
