This HireStrategy/Addison Group Client is currently seeking Finance and Accounting professionals for a startup Software Company to help manage the planning, reporting and operations of financials. As an essential member of the Finance and Accounting teams, you'll work closely with multiple verticals to plan and report on financials and operating expenses. Here you will develop an understanding of the monthly financial process.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements
- Supporting most aspects of accounting management (billing, tax forms, reporting etc.)
- Managing journal entries, invoices etc. and reconciling accounts for the monthly or annual closing
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets or forecasts
- Participating in preparation for the annual audit
- Helping in development of reports for management
- Reviewing the company's accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
- Utilizing accounting software to facilitate processes and maintain records

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience in a related field
- Have an inherent interest in Finance/Accounting and great business acumen
- Be willing to work in a fast paced environment and partner with different teams
- A great communicator with focus and attention to details
- Independent self-starter; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
