Beenox est un studio de développement de jeux vidéo créé en 2000. Situé dans la belle ville de Québec, au Canada, Beenox est une filiale à part entière d'Activision Publishing Inc., chef de file mondial dans le développement interactif.

Le studio est fier de contribuer au développement des célèbres franchises Call of Duty et Crash Bandicoot. Par le passé, Beenox a également pris part au succès des franchises Skylanders, Spider-Man et Guitar Hero.

En tant que concepteur(trice) systèmes de jeu, vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec les principaux studios de Call of Duty tels que Infinity Ward et Treyarch.

Dans ce rôle, vous aurez à :
  • Analyser les systèmes de jeu, effectuer les réglages et s'assurer de leur bon fonctionnement;
  • Veillez à la bonne intégration des différents concepts liés aux systèmes et aux mécaniques;
  • Participer à la mise en place des prototypes;
  • Rédiger en anglais des documents expliquant les concepts du jeu ainsi que les spécifications techniques;
  • Assurer la bonne communication du design et des systèmes de jeu au sein de l'équipe;
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les programmeurs de jeux pour orienter le développement des mécaniques;
  • Optimiser les réglages pour assurer une expérience de jeu optimale;
  • Être pro-actif dans la suggestion d'améliorations.

Exigences:
  • Minimum de 3 ans d'expérience en tant que Concepteur de jeu ou toute autre expérience pertinente;
  • Fortes habiletés d'analyse, de synthèse et de résolution de problèmes;
  • Bonne capacité dans l'utilisation de la suite Office, et en particulier Microsoft Excel;
  • Intérêt poussé de la culture militaire;
  • Bilinguisme (anglais-français);
  • Bonne capacité de communication;
  • Capacité de collaborer au sein d'une équipe multidisciplinaire;
  • Écoute et réceptivité face à la critique;
  • Passion pour le jeu vidéo;
  • Très bonne connaissance des jeux de tir (FPS) (un atout).

Main Tasks
As a System Designer, you will work closely with the leading Call of Duty studios, such as Infinity Ward and Treyarch. In this capacity, you will be required to:
  • Analyze gaming systems, make necessary adjustments and ensure their proper functioning
  • Ensure the integration of the different concepts relating to the systems and mechanics
  • Participate in setting up prototypes
  • Write English documents explaining the game concepts and technical specs
  • Clearly communicate the appropriate information about the gaming systems and design to the entire team
  • Work closely with programmers to guide the development of game mechanics
  • Optimize the settings to ensure the best gaming experience
  • Be proactive in suggesting improvements.

Requirements
  • Minimum three years of experience designing video games, or other relevant experience
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in the use of Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Keen interest in military culture
  • Bilingual (English/French)
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team
  • Active listening and responsiveness to criticism
  • Passion for gaming
  • Extensive knowledge of shooting games (FPS) an asset
