Facilities Condition Assessment Intern
Under limited supervision (training will be provided) the Facility Condition Assessment Intern is responsible for supporting our Facility Condition Assessment Engineers and Architects. The work involves key tasks related to Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical building systems inspections.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interact with Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical engineers in support of field activities.
- Assist in the performance of key tasks related to field inspection of building systems.
- Review and utilize client documentation during support process (drawings, studies, maintenance logs, etc.).
- Assist in the development of cost estimates for facilities replacement costs and/or corrective measures.
- Utilize Accruent’s web-based software, VFA.facility and other software applications as necessary.
- Working in a team environment or independently with exceptional communications skills is a must
The ideal candidate will be in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical), Architecture or Building Sciences.
Through the combination of education and training, candidates must possess knowledge of building systems including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical systems and/or site utilities. Candidates must be able to differentiate amongst various building systems and possess strong communication and computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Although on-going travel is not anticipated, travel as part of training will be required.
