Job Description

Fun and energetic team of 6 people, distributed across two locations locations (Prague, CZ and Plymouth Meeting, USA), is searching for a Technical Product Manager for Core Tools and Automation team. This is a contract position for cca 9 month.

Team develops, extends and supports internal and external tooling, used by all the other teams, such as:

·       Test data creation on demand.

·       Release tooling.

·       Test infrastructure for UI tests.

·       CI/CD process and base docker images.

·       LaunchDarkly (feature flags management).

·       JFrog Artifactory (binaries and dependency management repository).

·       Creation of a staging environment. 

A day in the life…

Accolade's Technical Product Managers constantly think about how technology can be leveraged to deliver value to our customers and play a critical role building scalable platform services that span the breadth of the organization. Working integrally with product managers, infrastructure engineering, software developers, and other stakeholders they manage cross-functional engineering programs and web services.

·       Own the product/service roadmap(s) and backlog(s); Make tough strategic and tactical prioritization decisions while helping the company think long-term. Build trust with stakeholders by maintaining an understandable, accurate roadmap. 

·       Roadmap presentation & discussion with higher management. Risks communication.

·       Close cooperation with team in prioritization of technical issues.

·       Participation in new projects definition, planning, communication and management. Taking ownership and accountability of delivery and adoption.

·       Gather business and functional requirements from internal customers and end-users across all Accolade offices. Translate requirements into robust, scalable, supportable tooling that works well across the ecosystem. Collect necessary information to build functional and technical expertise.

·       Anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that slow down or prevent programs from delivering on their objectives. Continually drive for clarity to keep team moving forward.

·       Ensure Agile and Lean best practices are applied to the development life-cycle and contribute ongoing improvements to Accolade’s software development practices.

·       Breakdown work into manageable components, delivering incremental value to your stakeholders.

·       Collaborate across teams; All Product Managers play a critical role in creating alignment between engineering teams and stakeholders. A collaborative attitude is essential to the job. We win or lose as a company.

·       Own the metric measures (KPIs) used to define success for your product/program. Success measures must be defined at inception and tracked throughout the life-cycle; Make measures visible to all stakeholders and interpret them into actionable conclusions.

·       Understanding of variety of projects team is working on. Feeling comfortable with context switching.

Maintain and enhance the vision for the tooling in cooperation with the team lead, ensuring it aligns with the needs of the product experience by leveraging our core Architectural foundation.

Qualifications

What we are looking for…

·       BA/BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar fields.

·       5+ years expirince in technical program management, development, testing, business analytics.

·       Excellent planning skills and understanding the ‘bigger picture’.

·       Demonstrated ability to work with projects using Agile methodologies.

·       Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.

·       Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation.

·       Ability to establish credibility and rapport across the organization with technical and non-technical team members alike.

·       Ability to successfully collaborate with multiple technical functions in the areas of infrastructure, technical operations, software engineering and customer support.

·       Exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills.

·       Strong technical abilities and good diagramming skills. 

·       Understanding of one or more programming languages is a plus: Java, Python, JavaScript/Node.js.
