As a key member of Accolade’s product development organization, Software Engineers on our Services team will be designing and building our next generation of end-to-to end cloud-optimized products and services from the ground up. Every day you will be solving hard problems at internet scale, using world-class modern tools and technologies.

Job Description

A day in the Life…

o  Build and maintain RESTful services on our new cloud platform.

o  Creating microservices architecture in Java, Spring Boot, Python, Node.js and AWS technologies (dynamo, SNS, SQS, EC2, Lambda).

o  Adding new services, new capabilities and refactoring existing code.

o  Participate in daily standups, weekly brainstorming sessions and bi-weekly retrospectives.

o  Fix bugs and add features.

o  Develop features across multiple modules within our application.

o  Write clean, testable, readable and maintainable code that can be rapidly deployed at internet scale.

Qualifications

Demonstrated education, skills and experience to be successful in this role:

o  1+ years software development experience.

o  BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering or engineering specific certifications or equivalent degree experience.

o  Proficiency with software management tools such as Jira.

o  Experience with modern version control systems (Github preferred).

o  Proficiency in debugging code bases, writing unit tests and testable code.

o  Experience in building and working in a heavy agile, collaborative, innovative, flexible and team-oriented environment.
