This role requires a senior Azure architect who will be responsible for the Azure cloud architecture of the client environment. AWS and on-prem networking are preferred skills. The candidate will need to analyze the existing architecture to provide recommendations for a detailed Azure architecture based on best practices, to include detailed network diagrams, utilization of IaaS/PaaS/SaaS services, and polycloud/hybrid architecture and integration with AWS and the on-prem environment.
The candidate should be able to rapidly and accurately produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and client presentations regarding architecture and best practices. The candidate will need to coordinate with the existing Azure engineers and architects (and AWS and Ops teams) and plan/estimate/execute work using agile methodology. Hands-on experience with PowerShell, PowerShell DSC, ARM templates, Azure Blueprints, and Azure DevOps are all preferred skills.
Basic Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in cloud architecture
- 5+ years experience in Azure architecture and implementation
- Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc.
- Agile software development experience
- Hands-on experience with Azure Blueprints, PowerShell, PowerShell DSC, and/or ARM templates
- Polycloud architecture experience (e.g. Azure/AWS, hybrid cloud with VMware on-prem)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
