Operations professionals work on projects across a range of business processes, business applications and information technology. They may provide technology services, such as application management, infrastructure management and systems integration, or they may deliver business process outsourcing services, including finance and accounting, procurement and human resources. Depending on the role, Outsourcing professionals may be based at a client's office or in one of Accenture's 50 delivery centers around the world.

The Technical Support Engineer - Kafka resource will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and enhancements of all enterprise Kafka components. The resource will be part of a managed services team in the client's Technology Operations Center performing Level 2 triage and troubleshooting activities, in addition to executing on approved requests and changes. Responsibilities include:



Key Responsibilities

  • Support and troubleshoot Apache Kafka
  • Build interfaces using message flows and message sets
  • Develop message flows to integrate various systems
  • Create topics, setup/maintain redundancy cluster, and maintain monitoring tools
  • Ensure that Kafka is implemented and maintained in the most optimal way
  • On-call to support operations in case of issues
  • Create and maintain system documentation
  • Evaluate new technologies and provide recommendations


+ Basic qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology-related field



Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of a college degree
  • Experience with middleware technologies: Apache Kafka messaging bus
  • Experience with Unix and Linux operating systems
  • Experience with scripting languages
  • Experience in IT operations and service management
