Finance professionals prepare and interpret financial plans and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations, including internal financial controls, to mitigate risk for the company. Finance professionals may also shape and execute client deals to maximize the use of Accenture's capital and resources, manage cash and/or liaise with the investor community.

Job Description:

The Tax Accounting function reports through the Managing Director, Global Tax and is organized along the lines of geographic responsibilities and process responsibilities. A team of tax accounting experts report to the Tax Accounting Lead. Most of the managers have both geographic and process responsibilities. The specialists receive on the job training in order to assist the managers with their responsibilities. The geographic roles support local finance and tax groups in ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting of income tax accounts. The team is also responsible for global tax accounting processes, which are focused on the consolidation of global results for U.S. GAAP and management reporting purposes.


Responsible for supporting specific areas of income tax accounting and forecasting for a group of foreign entities with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Run trial balances or activity reports from SAP and analyze data
  • Prepare quarterly analysis of global tax accounts
  • Assist with tracking and documentation of deliverables to internal teams and external auditors
  • Track compliance with internal tax policies via SharePoint submissions by country controllers and prepare monthly status reports
  • Support Area Tax and Country Controllers regarding tax accounting issues in certain geographies
  • Analyze certain country income tax forecasts to enhance the quality of geographic forecasting
  • Research and document local and global US GAAP tax accounting issues
  • Prepare valuation allowance calculations and documentation by jurisdiction
  • Prepare quarterly and annual acquisition tax accounting computations and support Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) processes
  • Support global tax in security compliance
  • Support the effective tax rate and cash forecasting and reporting processes as needed
  • Assist with the external financial audits and reviews of income taxes
  • Prepare support for annual footnote disclosures, including provision allocations, deferred taxes, and other disclosure items

  • Provide income tax accounting training as required for the tax and country controllership groups

+ Basic qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • BS in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 2 years Accounting experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Some technical tax background
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • SAP and/or OneSource skills are a plus
