The Strategic Cost Management Consulting Manager will:

Identify, assess, and solve complex business problems related to enterprise cost management, corporate spending, and business processes where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Apply Accenture analytical, operating, and governance models, and Accenture best practices to define potential business case, cost management or operating strategy for Accenture clients.

Examine large client data sets to assess client spending and operating performance, and develop data supported recommendations to enable targeted improvements.

Develop executive presentations, conduct interviews, and facilitate working sessions and meetings with client counterparts and senior level client management.

Build strong client relationships with client counterparts and management; validate Accenture as trusted, principled, and dependable advisors for our clients and partners

Interact with senior management at a client site on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on a suggested approach, methodology, or solution

Be able to act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments; independently apply methods and procedures on various assignments, with the necessary guidance from Accenture experts or leadership as appropriate.

Manage small, medium, and large sized teams and workstreams at a client site; provide coaching and guidance to team members on an individual or group basis.

Closely follow the strategic direction set by Accenture and Client senior management when establishing near term goals

+ Basic qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum 3+ years of Finance and cost management experience- Corporate FP&A, Investment Banking, Institutional Investment Analysis, or Consulting

Minimum 3 + years general knowledge of corporate finance and accounting processes, charts of account, and P&L management

Minimum 5 + years experience in strategic cost management, zero-based budgeting, overhead optimization, enterprise cost reduction, procurement and/or strategic sourcing.

Bachelor's degree

Must be able to travel M-F weekly.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with project planning, management and execution.

Familiar with business case development

Industry experience in one or more of the following industries: Consumer Goods & Services, Retail, Automotive & Industrial or Pharma & Life Sciences.

Excellent conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills

Excellent communication and relationship skills.

Demonstrated experience directly dealing with cross functional areas/ stakeholders

Strong financial acumen to understand stranded cost impacts.

Strong influencer, independent thinking and strong planning/prioritization with passion for people development and talent management is critical.

Experienced professional with strong communication skills (written and verbal) who is able to interact with senior management.

Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization.

Strong analytic and decision-making abilities. Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.

Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office
