Job Description

R&D Consulting professionals work closely with our clients to design, build and implement strategies that can help enhance business performance, which requires our people to understand how business, technology and operations intersect. Our deep understanding of our clients' industry and our global perspective on progressive business ideas and emerging technologies enables us to drive and deliver transformational change.

With a focus on technology consulting, you will play a key role in helping clients become high-performance R&D organizations by applying industry best practices to the research/early discovery domain. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing and solving complex technology problems within Research, leveraging in-depth knowledge and industry experience in chemistry, assay data management, OMICS, biologics and translational science. Example projects include IT roadmap and strategy, designing and implementing research and laboratory informatics capabilities, system integration partner for COTS product implementations and accompanying business process optimization and post-merger integration.

The Pharmaceutical R&D Technology Consulting Manager will manage a research/early discovery technology consulting project and will be responsible for the day to day management of all activities, often including those of clients and vendors. These responsibilities include schedule / timelines, issues and risks, scope and budget.

The Manager is the Accenture party accountable for delivery of a solution to our clients, and is usually the day-to-day lead on a project for all parties. Additional responsibilities will include developing Accenture Consultants and Analysts, identifying and developing business opportunities, helping manage client relationships and accounts, and contributing to the development of Accenture's Accelerated R&D Services Consulting Practice by taking on a practice development role.

It is our intention for our people to work where they live. However, in the context of our profession and serving our clients, there may be times when you will need to travel. Typically, our Managers work at client sites, which often requires travel. This position may require up to 75% travel, depending on your location and specific project responsibilities.
