The Veterans Affairs Health Strategy Senior Manager will play a wide variety of roles related to delivery and sales, shaping solutions for clients and maintaining and growing industry. Proactively generate and build client relationships leading to qualified opportunity identification in absence of an existing client relationship or opportunity, and work to strengthen existing relationships within the account. Identify and engage on strategic opportunities, developing new clients, and driving new capabilities into target areas. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the Department of Veterans Affairs and their IT and business initiatives. Selected candidate will quickly develop expertise in Accenture Federal Services offerings and services, financial drivers and imperatives, and match those to client buying patterns and needs. Must develop and maintain relationships that benefit Accenture Federal Services at different management levels of the VA's organization.
+ Basic qualifications
- 2+ years of Veterans Affairs experience
- 5+ years of proven sales and growth, practice building capabilities; especially as it relates to breaking into whitespace and building a sizeable book of business.
- 5+ years experience in the Healthcare arena
- Proven ability to develop and grow business within VA; desired areas of expertise include payer and provider operations, change management, IT operations, strategic consulting, security, and analytics
- Consultative selling background
- Intimate knowledge of VA with pre-existing client account relationships
- Ability to support proposal development and work closely with sales and capture teams from opportunity identification through delivery
- Ability to travel to client(s) and help other account members develop meaningful relationships with VA decision makers
- Self-motivated, self-starter who can inspire others in a team environment
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
