Federal - Financial Data Specialist

The Federal Financial Data Specialist will support the client in the identification and resolution of audit gaps related to procurement processes and systems and assist the project lead in the transition to the Tableau/BI data environment and analysis of data to further client initiatives. Responsibilities will include working with the client and team with:
Review NFRs or audit issues and work with the client, procurement, audit, FMO, and FMP communities to identify corrective action plans or resolutions (if needed)
- Manage and report on the progress, and execute all audit tasks
Data Analysis Tasks
Transition data to Tableau server and document all related processes, including data source identification, format, and transformation.
Update processes when source data changes
- Develop standard reports and templates in Tableau that will further client initiatives, including
a. Increased use of the DoD procurement data standard (PDS)
b. Improvement of data quality
c. Development and analysis of performance metrics at the client and SYSCOM levels. Use of those metrics to work with SYSCOMs to achieve performance improvement
d. Advisement on contract data and system impacts related to audit
In addition to experience data analysis and report development, the consultant must possess problem solving and critical thinking skills and should have an understanding of finance and procurement data, systems, standards, and policies, as well as audits.
