Job Description

Industry Applications-RES professionals design, implement and deploy packaged software solutions that have been developed to accommodate unique industry business and management processes, regulatory requirements and other business needs which cross multiple industries.

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:
Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Closely follows the strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near term goals.
Interacts with senior management at a client and/or within Accenture on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach.
Has some latitude in decision-making. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
Decisions have a major day to day impact on area of responsibility.
Manages large - medium sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture

+ Basic qualifications

Basic Qualifications

3 years of experience in the commodities trading industry

2 years of consulting experience

Ability to engage client leadership about their business and discuss commercial strategy, share industry leading practices, and identify opportunities for commercial optimization, cost reduction, or process improvement

Ability to engage with Accenture Analytics to define and position industry-specific analytics solutions

Bachelor's degree

Professional Qualifications

2 years of experience in a commercial role in an independent power producer, midstream marketer, or other leading commodities trading or supply organization

In-depth experience with Power, Natural Gas, and/or LNG, with specific experience in one or more of the following:

  • Power Markets - ISO/RTOs, Transmission, Congestion Products, Capacity
  • Natural Gas - Pipelines, Inventory Management, Transportation, Park and Loan, Storage
  • LNG - Lifting Schedules, Inventory Management, Vessel Scheduling

2+ years of experience in at least three of the following areas:
  • Traded Markets and Products
  • Portfolio analysis/reporting
  • Statistical analysis and modeling
  • Physical logistics (scheduling, operations, settlements)
  • Measurement, modeling, and reporting of Credit, Market, or Middle Office Risk
  • Accounting and controls processes and systems
  • Systems implementation or support in the commodities industry

Experience with a leading ETRM/CTRM platform preferred - OpenLink Endur, Allegro, OpenLink RightAngle, Energy Components
