Data Science Senior Manager (Multiple Positions)


Data Science Senior Manager (Multiple Positions) (Accenture LLP; Arlington, VA): Architect and analyze big data to build data driven business insights and high impact data models to generate significant business value for Accenture or our clients. Implement complete Big Data solutions, including data acquisition, storage, transformation, and analysis. Provide new insights from predictive statistical modeling activities. Design the models, algorithms, and visualizations that help companies distill insights from huge volumes of data. Create models and processes to collect, distill, and interpret data. Test theories by creating models and experimenting with data. Involved in gathering big data, and formulate high business impact cluster or nodes and establish performance checks on the large data models. Examine and explore data from multiple disparate sources with the goal of discovering insights which in turn can provide competitive advantage for our clients. Understand the fundamental solution being developed/deployed, including its business value, blueprint, and how it fits with the overall architecture or business operations. Be involved in setting strategic direction to establish near term goals for area of responsibility. Interact with senior management levels at a client and/or within Accenture, which involves negotiating or influencing on significant matters. Have latitude in decision-making and determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments.

+ Basic qualifications


Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field, plus 7 years of experience (of which 5 years must be progressive post-baccalaureate) in the IT consulting industry.


  • Of the required experience, 5 years of experience must be in each of the following: Utilizing SQL, SQL-Map Reduce (Aster), HIVE, H2, JSON, Alteryx, MATLAB, Python, R (open source and Microsoft), Fuzzy Logix, SAP PA (KXEN), Arena, Tableau, MicroStrategy, and Qlik; utilizing the following methods and techniques: Non-linear Optimization, Stochastic Event Simulation, Support Vector Machines, Neural Networks, and Graph Analytics; and, experience in the following functional areas: Omni-channel Fulfillment Optimization, Recommendation Engines, Customer Life-time Value, Market Basket Analysis, and Predictive Maintenance.

  • Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client needs.
