JobDescription for Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager

Securityand Risk professionalsdevelop and deliver solutions that protect enterprise systems, applications anddata by establishing policies, practices and tools that prevent unauthorizedaccess, use, disclosure, modification or disruption. Advanced Security Analyticsprofessionals develop and deliver solutions for organizations to gainvisibility of security events within their environment. Build new or developexisting event correlation, reporting and remediation capabilities based onadvanced monitoring use cases, external threat intelligence, and known trafficpatterns. Identity new or develop existing data integration points to build asecurity data warehouse for the purpose of exploratory analytics. A professional at this position level withinAccenture has the following responsibilities:

Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems for area ofresponsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depthevaluation of variable factors. Closely followsthe strategic direction set by senior management when establishing nearterm goals. Interacts with seniormanagement at a client and/or within Accenture on matters where theymay need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach. Has some latitude indecision-making. Acts independently todetermine methods and procedures on new assignments. Decisions have a major day to day impact onarea of responsibility. Manages large - medium sized teams and/orwork efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or withinAccenture.

The Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager willbe charged with leading day to day operations of the Managed SecurityOperations team across the following services: Incident Response, Threat andVulnerability Management, Endpoint Security, Network Security and SecurityApplications Management. You will be the point of contact to senior clientpersonnel and will be responsible for Security Operations Center team membersglobally.

The ideal candidate will be a technicallyexperienced and innovative security professional who has the ability andexperience to lead a team of security professionals and execute broad securitygoals within a global team. Experience in the following areas would be ideal ofthis role: network and application

security, security operations and incidentresponse. Candidates should be experience coaching team members at all levels(analyst, team lead, manager) and working with direct reports onshore andoffshore.

Key Responsibilitiesinclude:

  • Managing initial design and implementation ofthe core services in scope
  • Execute security operations processes, identifyand measure critical security operations metrics and continually improve theefficiency and effectiveness of all core services in scope
  • Manage and develop SOC team members, includingmentoring and capability / skill development. Provide a framework for teammembers to be successful in achieving the team and individual performanceobjectives
  • Work closely with client CISO and SecurityLeadership to identify implement process changes, improvements and efficienciesand ensure solid security practices
  • Provide security expertise to the SOC teamleveraging industry leading practices
