Key Responsibilities

As a Workday Learning Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of Workday's Learning solution. You will provide Workday product, subject-matter and implementation expertise; and will work with clients to understand their business requirements and help configure and test the Workday solution. Key responsibilities may include:
  • Lead the Learning workstream of a Workday implementation. Based upon the scope of the implementation, you may also lead additional workstreams such as Talent/Performance, and/or Recruiting.
  • Conduct working sessions with clients to gather, understand, and analyze business requirements.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on key business process decisions.
  • Advise clients on industry standards for Workday Learning in order to provide suggestions to achieve clean configuration and streamlined processes.
  • Design and implement requirements in the Workday Learning solution.
  • Demonstrate configurations through the use of prototyping.
  • Manage on and off-shore functional teams
  • Identify strategies, risks, and options, recommend approaches and mitigations to meet client/functional requirements
  • Lead, mentor, counsel and manage performance of project staff
  • Architect Workday solutions to ensure that all work streams are cohesive and cross functional impacts are considered and mitigated
  • Advise clients on industry standards and leading practices.
  • Understand Workday's Implementation Methodology and apply it on all engagements.
  • Participate in Workday Learning Strategy/Transformation working sessions with clients to understand and set direction.
  • Provide the Project Manager with status reports and keep them apprised of overall project status.
  • Participate in update training and other events that help share one's product skills with other consultants


+ Basic qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Existing and up to date Workday HCM certification
  • 4+ years of consulting experience, most recently in a Senior Consultant, Manager, or similar level role, preferably with a large consulting firm
  • 2 years of experience with Learning Management Systems and/or work experience in a Learning and Development role/team
  • 3+ years of experience creating and managing content
  • 2+ hands-on experience with delivering Workday implementations
  • 5 years of experience in designing and deploying software solutions
  • Experience managing teams of 1+ persons
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 80%

Preferred Skills
  • Experience configuring and/or using Workday Learning
  • Experience working with Key Performance Indicator measurement/analytics
  • 3+ years prior experience implementing Workday with a certified Workday implementer.
  • 2+ years of experience creating and managing content
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of SDLC with a focus on business process analysis and requirements gathering in relation to IT systems development
  • Demonstrated commitment and achievement to delivery excellence and client relationship management
  • Workday HCM or Workday Learning Certification
  • Proven ability work within a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to frequent change
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Experience with Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
  • Keen understanding of or experience working with Learning Content Management Systems (LCMS) as well as strong content management techniques/skills
  • Existing and up to date Workday Learning certificatio
