Business & Technology Integration professionals advise upon, design, develop and/or deliver technology solutions that support best practice business changes.

The Ab Initio Engineer, with end-to-end vision, uses logic and a sense of order to see how a functional design translates to physical systems. They use their deep analytical abilities to strategically define how data will be stored, governed, consumed, integrated and managed by different data entities and systems. With highly specialized skills, they are eager to develop and share best practices and act as Subject Matter Experts. They bring emerging technologies such as predictive modeling and data visualization.

Job Description
Data and Analytics professionals define strategies, develop and deliver solutions that enable the collection, processing and management of information from one or more sources, and the subsequent delivery of information to audiences in support of key business processes.

Data Integration professionals develop deep Data Integration skills to support Accenture's data and analytics agendas, including skills such as ETL, Informatics, and data migration.

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:

  • Adapts existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems.
  • Understands the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals.
  • Uses considerable judgment to determine solution and seeks guidance on complex problems.
  • Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor. May interact with peers and/or management levels at a client and/or within Accenture.
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments with guidance.
  • Decisions often impact the team in which they reside.
  • Manages small teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.


+ Basic qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience developing and implementing Ab Initio integrations including a full life cycle development from functional design to deployment
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with at least one of the following; Informatica, Database Hadoop, SQL Server or Teradata
  • Ability to travel 100% as needed
  • A Bachelor's degree or relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with one or more additional ETL tools and associated capabilities beyond the Basic Qualifications (Business Objects Data Services (BODS), DataStage, or Ab Initio)
  • Database experience (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server or DB2)
  • Unix or Windows scripting experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience of SQL
  • Understanding of Dimensional Models
  • Experience with both project development and production support
