The primary duties of the Retail Pennsylvania Tag and Title Coordinator are:

  • Complete applications accurately and collect appropriate State and AAA service fees. Protect customers' confidentiality and privacy in accordance with AAA Mid-Atlantic and PennDOT regulatory requirements. Maintain up-to-date on knowledge of Pennsylvania state laws and legislation relating to L&T work. Comply with all PennDOT regulations and AAA Mid-Atlantic policies and procedures. Access PennDOT and triVIN computer systems and accurately enter information and process applications. Serve as a technical resource within the retail store. Provide exceptional member and client experiences by effectively selling and representing AAA products and services in a manner that will build repeat business and generate sales. AAA products and services include but are not limited to: PA License & Title (L&T) services, membership, auto travel, travel, discounts, financial services, Travel Shop products, insurance and automotive services.
  • Serve as the PA L&T lead mentoring L&T Clerks in business line knowledge, processing procedures and PennDOT policies. Review completed On-Line Messenger (OLM) applications daily to ensure accuracy of submissions. Assemble and ensure accuracy of triVIN and manual work; resolve discrepancies. Manage and document rejected work for processing. Reconcile State and AAA service fees collected to ensure balance at the end of day. Ensure on-time submission of work to the Regional L&T Clerk and PA AAA Federation. Serve as a primary contact between PennDOT and the Retail Store. Responsible for maintaining PennDOT and triVIN inventory ordering, securing and monthly reconciliation to conform to AAA Mid-Atlantic and PennDOT audit requirements. Communicate updates and changes regarding PennDOT processes and procedures to Retail offices.
  • Counsel potential members on the benefits and services of various membership plans with a concentration on selling Plus, Premier and auto renewal. Conduct Membership Review for existing members, update and upgrade plans as appropriate. Respond to member requests related to the utilization of their member benefits and assist the member in understanding the value of their membership. Counsel and sell Financial Services products and generate Insurance referrals. May train other retail office associates regarding triVIN system and PennDOT processes. May assist associates with more complex customer issues or inquiries and assist in the resolution of complaints. Complete other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a total of three (3) years of previous sales, and/or customer service experience.
  • One (1) year of tag and title work experience is required, eighteen (18) months is preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Internet, and competent keyboarding skills.
  • Notary Public designation or the ability to successfully complete an approved Notary education course and obtain and maintain a Notary Public designation within six (6) months of employment.

  • A competitive salary of $16.75 to $20.00/hour, depending on experience.
