Senior Consultant Kroger Merchandising - Stores, Assortment, & Space

As a Senior Consultant at 84.51°, you are flawlessly executing against the customer first plan for our partner and clients as you leverage leading customer insights from Kroger, market insights, and human insights to makes customers' lives easier. The customer's voice influences every decision as you identify problems, develop solutions, activate insights and evaluate the impact on customers for Kroger and CPGs.

Your primary client is Kroger, one of the world's largest retailers and the third largest employer. You are expected to build strong, trusting relationships with your Kroger stakeholders and influence their decisions that drive long term customer loyalty.

Your primary area of focus is merchandising, leveraging our industry leading customer insights to drive merchandising strategies that are relevant to our customers. This includes: assortment, pricing, promotion, space management, visual display, and the customer experience. To operate effectively in this domain, you are expected to know the current state of the business, the latest trends, and the innovations that are impacting and disrupting this area - all from a customer perspective.


Within the Stores, Assortment, & Space (SAS) Mission, your primary responsibilities will include leveraging customer insights to explore key questions/hypotheses that are prioritized between Kroger and 84.51°, in relation to Space Optimization Refresh, in partnership with our analytical power of 2.

This includes the scoping and prioritization of features when applying the agile discipline to the mission's key projects and developing/delivering root cause analyses, coupled with recommendations for change moving forward.

Additionally, you will be responsible for exploring commercial opportunities leveraging 84.51°'s space science to drive differentiation in the marketplace and increased value for our commercial partners. This includes, but is not limited to, partnering with our analytical power of 2 to develop potential commercial tool(s) or identifying specific components of the science that can be leveraged within custom insights work that will be revenue generating for 84.51°/Kroger.
