Overview of the role


The person in this role is a truly senior-level individual, capable of leading major technology decisions, directing the design and build process, assessing the degree of difficulty of work.

The person in this role is an undisputed Master of Design in the area of Distributed Systems.

The person in this role is great in formulating, shaping, and communicating complex technical concepts, and is able to present such concepts to a variety of technical, and non-technical audience.

The person in this role is capable of effective communication and coordination both at the team and individual levels across multiple teams and projects.

The person in this role is expected to provide coaching and mentoring to staff in order to deliver quality service and solutions.

The person in this role is expected to directly contribute to the development, tests, support and deployment tasks for software applications and phases of the entire 84.51° SDLC.



Technical/Organizational Responsibilities


  • Helps define and articulate the vision, the goals, and the work, needed to accomplish 84.51 objectives
  • Executes the vision, goals, priorities and work alongside the team to accomplish them. Ensure high-quality technical solutions and skill development.
  • Help shape, improve, and advocate for 84.51 delivery methodology.
  • Participates in and contributes to Agile team ceremonies; including: Backlog Reviews, Retrospectives, Architectural Reviews, team and system demos
  • Leads selected Communities of Practice.
  • Drives the technical aspects of solutions, providing technical guidance and expertise to teams
  • Understands, teaches, and sponsors technical skills development in support of high quality code components, systems, and solutions



Required Characteristics & Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or another heavily technical program
  • 5-10 years’ experience in a technical role leading/mentoring by example
  • Be a change agent and foster a learn by doing environment
  • Proven ability to execute in a customer focused environment and advocate for customers across a cross-functional organization.
  • Strong software development leadership skills.
  • Exceptional judgment, strategic thinking, and creative problem-solving skills. Strong analytical mind.
