At 84.51°, Kroger Precision Marketing enables brands to deliver relevant messages, offers and experiences to their best consumers through direct-to-consumer communications, programmatic digital advertising and in-store activation.  As a Product Marketing Director within the Customer Communications Product Strategy & Innovation team, you will be responsible for leading & executing the annual marketing plan, driving paid, earned and owned media across PR thought leadership and other vehicles, and keeping the organization abreast of competitive market intelligence. You will be an expert in 84.51° media capabilities coupled with the media market and will influence future product roadmaps.  To be successful in this role, you will bring your strong history of product / brand / digital marketing and be a team-centric change-agent to the company.  You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have a high standard for quality.

 This job will focus on several key initiatives:

  • Develop and champion a product vision that makes media more relevant & amplifies our market position
  • Collaborate with product development leads, corporate marketing and our external agencies to develop differentiated product positioning and a best-in-class communication strategy
  • Develop a comprehensive marketing plan across the media portfolio, owning the launch plan for new solutions across deliverable design, collateral development, sales team training & marketing execution
  • Champion the needs of the customer and business, articulating business value of our media products
  • Evaluate the industry landscape, staying current on competitive research and advertiser expectations, maintaining distance for our product portfolio
  • Develop a conference strategy and thought leadership series to further establish Kroger’s media position
  • Act as the subject matter expert for our core solutions both internally and externally
  • Provide executive updates on market reaction, advertising effectiveness and product innovation



 The right person will thrive in a fast-paced environment and must possess the following:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications. Master’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant digital marketing experience (agency, retailer or CPG)
  • Experience creating & executing marketing plans
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; verbal, written, presentation, people, and diplomacy skills required
  • Innovative thinker that can deliver thought leadership in digital media
  • Initiative, detail orientation, strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
