Things You'll Do:

  • Answer inbound calls, typically on the 2nd ring– trust us, your customers will be delighted to speak to a live person that fast!
  • Assist customers with ordering contact lenses
  • Answer any questions customers have regarding their order or our products
  • Resolve any issues for customers while providing outstanding customer service
  • Other duties as assigned

Training Details:

Begins Monday, October 16th and is for 4 weeks. Please note that the 4-week training is mandatory. 

Weeks 1-2: Training is Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM. There will be additional classwork required outside of training each day. On average, this additional work will take 1-2 hours. This outside coursework is self-directed but required to be completed by the next day unless specified by your trainer. You will need computer/internet access at home.

You will be paid for 2 hours regardless of the amount of time it takes to complete this work. For example, if you finish these items faster than 2 hours, you’ll be paid 2 hours. If the coursework takes longer than 2 hours, you will only be paid for 2 hours.

Week 3: You will be training from 3:00PM to 9:30PM. 

Week 4: During week 4, you will work your agreed upon job schedules to transition you to the call center floor excluding weekends. If your schedule includes a weekend, you will be assigned a day during the week to work instead.  Upon graduation, you’ll begin your schedules which will include at least 1 weekend.


Available Shifts (post-training):

We're currently offering full-time shifts ranging from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Full time ranges from 30-40 hours. Associates have the option to pick up any posted shifts up to 40 hours with their set schedule. 

 Associates are eligible for a schedule change request 90 days after completing the 4-week training. All shifts require a Saturday or Sunday shift each week. Sunday pay is $2.00 higher per hour. Sundays or Saturdays are a requirement for a minimum of one year.

We also start our associates at $12.00 an hour and offer a GREAT incentive bonus program that enables our associates to add up to an additional $6 per hour to their paychecks.



It’s long been a belief of 1-800 Contacts that if we take care of our associates, they’ll take care of our customers.

Every associate gets free breakfast, snacks, fruit, and drinks. Lunches (salmon or fillet mignon, anyone?) are highly subsidized. Our on-site gym offers free personal training. And you can schedule discounted dry cleaning pickup, oil changes, or a massage through our payroll deduction system.
