AJ’s Story
A People Person
With a degree in psychology from Duke, AJ definitely qualifies as a people person. After graduation, he worked in customer service and then became a recruiter. While he loved recruiting, he ultimately found that he wanted to feel more connected to the people he helped. Now, at Work Better, he’s able to see first-hand how his role impacts the lives of the members he meets.

The first item on AJ’s daily to-do list? Making coffee. With a pot brewing, he tidies up around the office, ensuring everything is ready for the day. Once members arrive, AJ fields requests and answers questions to support members as they tackle their most important tasks. When he’s not helping members, AJ works to grow the Work Better team by conducting interviews with potential employees.

"My main goal is to make sure that everyone works as optimally and efficiently as possible. When my workers come into their space to work, I want them to know that I’m here to help and support them in every way that I can."
