Erik studied computer science in college, and since graduating, he’s looked for work at companies whose business models are directly tied to helping people. Erik became a fan of this publication because its website and service operated within this model. After learning that it was building out a new Data Team, he applied immediately.
Erik starts his day by checking his email. Then he video chats with the Data Team to discuss what everyone is working on. After the meeting, Erik spends the afternoon doing solo work. Around 5 or 5:30 PM, Erik makes a point of disconnecting from his work—he likes maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
