From the time that CEO Neil rounded up the early team and took everyone to a ping-pong tournament, Warby employees have a tradition of organizing a team outing every other week. Past trips have included laser tag, ice skating, and bowling (in costume, on Halloween). The twist: The destination is always kept a surprise until the last minute.

Mara’s team is responsible for creating a great customer experience, from ensuring that the order-placing process is a smooth one to responding to customer emails. The day starts at 9 AM with a quick team jam session to “Call Me Baby,” followed by strategizing over how to break up the day ahead so they can tackle inbound emails, get updates from the Retail and Tech teams on customer feedback and behavior, and brainstorm new ideas.
