Creative Career Jump-Start
Miranda studied graphic design at West Liberty University, but hadn’t fully considered where her advanced skillset would take her. Luckily, an internship at USA TODAY’s design studio helped light the way. After completing a range of projects that went live fairly fast, Miranda knew she’d found her niche. After graduating early, she returned to the team full-time.

What Miranda Does
Junior Designer
Miranda collaborates with a small group of designers and editors to design print and digital layouts. To get the process going, she attends brainstorm sessions with her team to cover all the diverse subjects in the USA TODAY portfolio. Since she assists during editorial and print production, Miranda compares her role to solving a puzzle in terms of pairing content and visuals.
