After graduating from Penn State with a BS in mechanical engineering, Katey worked with Chevron at drill sites across U.S. oil fields from Texas to Ohio. When the opportunity to join the free-thinking, creative Terrapin arose—and help produce a liquid treasure with a more flavorful present and a brighter future—Katey was happy to seize it.

As demand for Terrapin continues to grow, Katey must ensure that current processes continue to function without issue while also expanding the breweries’ production capabilities—with new tanks, brew-house vessels, and wastewater treatment plants. Surrounded by massive equipment and moving parts, Katey and her colleagues adhere to strict safety procedures and always look out for each other.
