Theresa’s Story
Back In The City
In her last year at Northeastern University, Theresa took an internship in San Francisco. After graduating, she applied to Gap hoping to return to the city—and after the interview, she felt it was the place to be. Her excitement continued as she was hired shortly after and now works on a small Development Team.

Theresa’s work day starts with a video conference with her iteration manager. After receiving status updates, her team develops a plan of action for ongoing projects. They work by pair programming, meaning two engineers are always working together. Their current project allows Theresa to visit Gap stores to test their newly developed mobile applications with store associates.

“I work closely with only a dozen other engineers every single day. We have the power to make decisions, move quickly, and fail fast. With Gap, we have the backing of a large corporation, but we don’t feel the volatility you might with a startup business.”
