A Stanford graduate with over 10 years in the industry, Daniel has gained a wealth of experience, from designing graphics for video games to web and app work for FourSquare. A longtime admirer of the NYC tech scene, Daniel left San Francisco to join Foursquare in New York—and was eventually attracted to Teachers Pay Teachers by its unique approach and important mission.
Managing teams dedicated to professional development, platform-building, and the web and mobile spaces, Daniel works to keep his engineers focused on the most impactful priorities as they roll out new products to help connect educators with each other. Always taking a user-first approach, Daniel is constantly seeking to engage and build the TpT marketplace.
“We listen to our community first. We don’t start a project by brainstorming solutions, we start by talking to educators—about their problems, experiences, and day-to-day challenges—then asking what we can build to make it better.”
“We’re not trying to ‘fix’ education—we’re trying to work with teachers to improve it. In this age, where tech is always trying to disrupt and tear down the existing systems, it’s really encouraging to see someone trying to build up this impassioned community of hard-working people.”
