Hailing from Long Island, Melissa first moved to California when she enrolled at Stanford to study engineering with a focus on product design. Taco Bell recruited her upon graduation, and she briefly worked on the Finance Team before moving on to different roles revolving around marketing and insights. She’s now been with the company for over 20 years—with the majority of her career spent helping bring new products, like the breakfast menu, to life.

Whether it’s through statistical data, reading trends, or listening to consumers, Melissa and her team work to connect dots across a variety of different sources to understand insights that will grow the business to new levels. She also oversees the testing and development of over 50 menu items a year and determines which ones are a viable part of Taco Bell’s national product pipeline.
