Jeff's career in engineering began at Dartmouth, where he earned a bachelor's in mechanical engineering and a master's in engineering management. He spent several years in consulting and venture capital and co-founded his own startup before his career path took him to his first Synapse position—project management—in 2010.
From his early days as a product manager to his current role at the head of the Engineering Team, Jeff's big goal has always been to help clients create products, working through the engineering details to transform ideas into tangible designs. The process involves lots of moving parts—Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Firmware, RF Design and Layout, and New Product Introduction Teams—and Jeff oversees them all.
"Clients hire us to help them make their concepts a reality—they'll bring an idea to us for a product they want created, and we'll go through all the engineering rigor to figure out how we can possibly make that."
"It's really about the company culture. For Synapse, it's what we all bring to the company, as opposed to what the company provides for us. That's people being engaged and bringing their interests."
