Matt’s Story
Tech Toys to Tech Jobs
Matt has always loved technology. He’s been playing with software like Dreamweaver and Photoshop since the 90’s, but it wasn’t until graduating from CSU Chico—with a BA in philosophy—that he turned his playful passion into a career. After several years as an engineer at other tech startups, Matt now handles complex projects as a full-time designer developer.

UX Developer
On a small, cross-functional team that encompasses design, development, and project management, Matt gets to work on cool and important projects—like Symphony’s external-facing pattern library—and incorporate them into the Symphony platform. With user-focused design, Matt works to achieve a high rate of production while using constant feedback to continually inform and improve the product.

“I get feedback on a daily basis for what we’re putting out. We’re constantly iterating and releasing to our test pods.”

“We’re solving some key problems that people have in communication—bringing solutions to one product—and I get to play a key role, with how it looks and behaves. It’s fun and exciting.”
