Chris studied journalism in college and spent the earlier part of his career working in the field. Looking for something new, he found himself drawn to education. It was at a career fair that he met staff from Success Academy. He was quickly brought in for an interview—and was soon hired as an Associate Teacher.
Chris is a key collaborator in the work that makes his classroom run smoothly, serving as a vital part of his students’ education. From assisting with classroom management and instructing lessons to working one-on-one with students, Chris does everything he can to help his scholars succeed, all while training to be a lead teacher.
“The great thing about being an Associate Teacher is that you never feel like you’re the assistant or like your ideas aren’t welcome because your Lead Teacher is always asking your opinion. You really play a vital role in shaping the classroom.”
“We hold all of our scholars to the same standard because we believe that they can strive for excellence.”
